Prof. Dr. Ali Mohamed Salah is a scholar of Islamic Studies and Comparative Religion with more than three decades in academia, religious leadership and community work. His writing presents Islam in a clear, authentic and intellectually grounded way, attending both to its classical foundations and to the questions Muslims meet in Western societies.
Educated in Madinah, Makkah and Kuala Lumpur, he has directed language institutes and university programmes in Malaysia, and for nearly twenty-five years has served the Muslim community of Norway as imam, teacher and counsellor. He writes in Arabic, English and Somali, and has recorded more than a hundred courses across the Islamic sciences.
